Corey’s House was created to provide a safe home for men struggling with mental health and substance use disorders who did not have a safe environment to return to, or were not yet ready to return to their previous living situations. In return for housing, these individuals continue to work with the animals to foster a healthier lifestyle, gain valuable life skills, and job training. By integrating them into the animal sanctuary, rates of overdoses and relapses have decreased.
